Spring Trip to Tsali

June 6-8, 2008

It is that time of year again! The Dirt Divas are heading West for some great singletrack at Tsali for our 2008 Spring Trip! What could be better than a weekend away with the girls, riding singletrack at Tsali with its beautiful views, and staying at the Nantahala Outdoor Center... not to mention dining on fabulous food from Pasta & Provisions.

New Forum

We have created a new forum that is now currently being hosted with the website. Which means no more cookie issues (problems logging in, etc.)! The down side is since we are not transferring the database over the history will be gone and everyone will have to create their user accounts again. For reference we will post a link to the old forum for viewing but will lock it from use.

**Meeting Location Changed**

We have good news and bad news. Bad news is the monthly meeting spot (Quaker Steak & Lube) shut it’s doors, so we can no longer host the Divas meetings there.

Good news is Fuel Pizza (where the Trailblazers meet) in Park Road Shopping Center is available. There is already an event on the third Tuesday of the month, so we will be changing the meeting date to WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2008 – still at 7:00 social 7:30 meeting time. This is the only Wednesday meeting, we will go back to the third Tuesday starting in March.

Pedaling for Patricia and Others with MS

This MS road ride is a yearly fundraiser for the Dirt Divas. This year, however, will be more personal since our own club Treasurer, Patricia Boudreau was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Proceeds from this event will go to Patricia and the MS Society on behalf of the Dirt Divas, Team Roadkill and Rank Riders.

MONBO Loop at Lake Norman now open!

The Monbo Loop at LNSP is now OPEN!!! WOO HOO!! The trail is open from 8:00 am – 6:30 pm through March and from 8:00 am – 7:30 pm in April & May. With the addition of the Monbo Loop, the Itusi trail is now just shy of 13 miles in length. Please check the following link for a very nice letter from Ranger Casey and more info. Thanks to those who volunteered and supported our workdays. Time now to enjoy.

Break away to the Mountains - Dirt Divas Spring Trip

The annual Spring Trip features riding at Bent Creek and Pisgah. This is an overnight trip with accomodations at Camp Kahdalea. If you are interested, please view the flyer for info!! MORE INFO

Trails at Catawba reopen!

The wait is over... the trails at the US National Whitewater Center officially reopened on August 27th. More than 6 miles of trails on the southern end of the park are available now, and the northern end will available when all the reconnections are finished. New guidelines are available at the trailhead, and you get there via Hawfield Road, instead of Heavy School Equipment Road. Check the Trails page for directions, and click here for a great new map of the trails.
